Alanis Morissette

Alanis Nadine Morissette was born in Ottawa, Canada, on June 1, 1974. Alanis' Greek name is an feminine form of her father's name, Alan. Georgia is the name of her mother, and she has two brothers, Chad Wade and Chad Wade. She began playing the piano in her early years, aged 6, and guitar at age 21. Alanis released a hit single from 1986 named Fate Stay With me (b side: Find The Right Man). A Canadian dance-pop singer who recorded two albums: Alanis (1991), and Now Is The Time (1992). She was 18 when she moved to Toronto and began working with a variety of artists and songwriters, however the collaborations didn't work. Glen Ballard was the producer/songwriter she picked in 1994.
